Good Friends, Good Skiing, Good Fun !!! President's Message : Welcome and thanks for logging on to the Youngstown area's most fun group of people. We hope you find this site helpful and one that would entice you into joining a great group of friends! The Youngstown Ski Club is a non-profit organization that was established in 1958. The purpose of the Club is to promote the sport of snow skiing along with a spirit of camaraderie, underscored by various social and athletic events throughout the year. The primary aim of the Club is to introduce new skiers to the sport of skiing. Club membership includes all levels of skiing ability; you'll find plenty of people to ski with! Secondly, and equally important, is the aim to make skiing not only more enjoyable, but more affordable for our members. As you are well aware, skiing is becoming an increasingly more expensive sport. To defray some of these expenses, the Club sponsors money-making events, such as our annual Corn Roast, Volleyball Tournament, and Wine Taste. Profits from these events go into a fund which is used to subsidize our trips. The Club has an average membership of 250 members. Club meetings, which are open to all members and guests, are held monthly. All members are encouraged to attend the annual business meeting in April during which officers are elected. The past ski season is evaluated and recommendations for new ski trips and other events are entertained. Bi-weekly weekend ski trips begin with the first weekend in January and typically include :
